AMAZON UNGATING INVOICE REJECTION REASONS LIST

  1. Not having a PO Number on Invoice - Learn more about PO Numbers (Not sure what PO Means? Need to learn Amazon Ungating Terminology?  Check out our Free Amazon Ungating Terminology Dictionary!)
  2. The address on the invoice does not match the address on your LLCResellers Certificate and EIN.
  3. Not purchasing the correct merchandise
  4. You did purchase the correct amount of merchandise but you only purchased the correct amount. Remember, Amazon ungates sellers who appear *serious* and can show they have the ability to purchase quantity. What exactly does this mean? Well, most Ungated seller say it is better to buy 24, 48 or more pieces than to purchase exactly 10 (10 pieces is the current requirement as of the time this article was produced. We always encourage you to make sure you check todays Amazon requirements in case information has changed)
  5. Not purchasing the correct quantity of merchandise
  6. Your invoice is from outside of the USA (specifically for Health and Personal Care)
  7. Invoice is a Pro Forma Invoice
  8. Invoice is not in English or is only partially in English
  9. Invoice does not include your company name. REMEMBER: Your company name must match the info on the address on your LLC, Resellers Certificate and EIN.  Need to place an order through our site and make sure your company name is on the invoice?  Check out step-by-step instructions
  10. Invoice does not include the sellers address
  11. Invoice is from eBay, Alibaba or other sites that are not actual wholesale companies. In fact, ANYTHING purchased through Alibaba or eBay will automatically be rejected.
  12. Many ungated sellers claim the invoice should have your account number, meaning the account number provided by the company you are purchasing through. However many companies do not have “account numbers” being that everything is now automated through computers using email addresses. If this is the case you could create your own account number and add it to your “Address” or “Comments” section of purchase.
  13. Invoice includes links instead of data
  14. Mr. Rebates
  15. Invoice is actually an eMail Confirmation
  16. Invoice is actually a Receipt
  17. Invoice is from a Trade Show
  18. Invoice is from a Flea Market
  19. You only have ONE invoice. You need at LEAST THREE.  Learn more about Amazon Ungating Requirements:  Complete Step-By-Step Guide to Amazon Ungating
  20. You only have ONE PO. You need at LEAST THREE. Learn more about Amazon Ungating Requirements: Complete Step-By-Step Guide to Amazon Ungating
  21. We have heard MANY rumors that the email address you use on your orders (the email address that appears on the invoice) is not an actual business email. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a .gmail, .yahoo, .comcast etc but rumor has it that Amazon wants to see “Support@YourCompanyName.com” - and that this email should match the information on your LLCEINBOL, Invoice / POResellers Permit, etc.
  22. Possible Reason: You picked up in-person instead of having it shipped. Local pickups are great for really small businesses but not for long-term sustainability. Amazon wants to see that you are a typical business that has merchandise delivered so they can be assured that you are able to restock this brand on a regular basis.
  23. Information on invoice is blacked out / redacted
  24. Invoice on invoice is blurry or sketchy looking
  25. Your invoice is correct but you do NOT have a website.  As of 2020, A website with ecommerce capability is sometimes required for category approvals. Additionally, you want to have more than only 1 channel to sell on.  Let's say it takes 9 months to officially get ungated, do you seriously plan to sit on that merchandise for almost a year when you could have sold it already?  Also, what if you get banned from Amazon due to scam buyers filing bogus claims; what then?  You absolutely should have other means of selling your merchandise!!!!
  26. Merchandise purchased is just a bunch of numbers instead of an actual title stating what the merchandise is
  27. Invoice did not come from an approved supplier. We have had plenty of people buy our merchandise and be ungated. We have also had people buy our merchandise and not be able to get ungated. THERE IS NO SELLER WHO CAN GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE UNGATED IF YOU BUY THEIR MERCHANDISE. If ANYONE makes these claims they are flat out LYING. There are so many factors that go into the ungating process, it is literally impossible for any seller / wholesaler to say there is a guarantee for Amazon Ungating!!
  28. Invoice does not include Terms.  Learn About Types of Terms for Amazon Ungating and Online Selling Placing an order through our site and need to add Terms & PO number?  Here's how!
  29. Your invoices meet all criteria but you do not have established Amazon Selling Metrics.  Without METRICS YOU WILL ALWAYS BE DENIED, 100% OF THE TIME!!  Check out our our Amazon Ungating Checklist
  30. The decision could have absolutely NOTHING to do with the invoice and instead has to do with OTHER criteria you have not provided!!! Amazon is VERY UNCLEAR (intentionally) when they reply to applicants because they are TRYING TO WEED OUT SELLERS WHO DO NOT FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. Again, I strongly encourage you to read our Guide to Amazon Ungating for Beginners and our Amazon Ungating Checklist
