There’s 3 main reasons why Freight Forwarders are fantastic:

CHEAPER THAN DIRECT SHIPPING

If you have ever shipped anything outside of the USA you have seen the crazy rates. It can cost over $350 for us to ship from Michigan to Australia…. That’s a LOT of money!  Sometimes the direct shipping cost is MORE than the buyer is paying for the merchandise, which makes us feel terrible even though it isn't our fault.  But with a Freight Forwarder the cost decreases to $100 or so… that’s a TON of Savings for our buyer!

FASTER

Freight Forwarders specialize in taking parcels from the USA to a specific destination. For example, a Freight Forwarder from the USA to Haiti takes the parcel directly from Florida, USA to Haiti. On the other hand, if you ship direct from the USA to Haiti the parcel can make many stops along the way and each stop adds on time to the transit. Heck, we have had parcels take literal MONTHS to get to a destination internationally. This frustrates us and the buyer greatly!  With a Forwarder the merchandise can reach the buyer within 2-4 days of leaving the USA.  Thats AWESOME!!!  The quicker the buyer gets the inventory the faster they can come back and buy more! 

EASIER FOR EVERYONE!

When a Freight Forwarder is used, all the seller has to worry about is getting the merchandise to the Forwarders address, which is located inside the USA (Usually Florida, California or New York but there’s lots of other forwarders in the States). Since the forwarder transports parcels directly to the buyer, the buyer deals completely with the Forwarder, who specializes in the buyers country - this means the Forwarder has staff who speaks the buyers language and understands the buyers Customs and Mail system fully. This is so helpful for the seller and, most importantly, the buyer! What has always impressed me is that almost every single international buyer we have ever had speaks decent, good or outstanding English (so impressive because I have been trying to learn Spanish for 5 years and I am nowhere near fluent) however, there are still often language barriers, even with Google Translate, so it greatly helps the buyer and seller to have a middleman who knows whats up.
