Vogue Magazine Predicts SPRING 2021 Womens Fashion Trends
Posted by Big Brand Wholesale.com on 18th Feb 2021
If you read our prior blog post about Fashion Seasons, you already know that it’s February and we are currently in the fashion season called “Spring 2”... which may feel odd to you because if you live in a state like Michigan (where we live), there’s feet of snow on the ground and it was literally 1-degree outside today. Regardless, the Designer Apparel industry never sleeps, so here’s Vogues predictions of what is going to be hella hot for Spring 2021:
First let's quickly review the "Fashion Seasons" that the Runway lives by:
JANUARY: “Spring” Wave #1: Lighter-Weight items
FEB / MARCH: “Spring” Wave #2: Swimwear, tank tops, shorts
JULY: “Fall” Wave #1: Hoodies, jeans
AUGUST / SEPTEMBER: “Fall” Wave #2: Heavy Coats, snow hats
Now that we got that outta the way, let's dive into these 9 Vogue predictions:
1. Knit-Looks: From dresses to cardigans to tops and pants; this Knit will be heavily advertised:
2. LOSING LOOSE! One major prediction is that gone are the days of “loose fit”, baggy, slouchy and roomy apparel. According to Vogue, Spring 2021 is going to be a season for form-fitting fashion; Bodycon dresses, curve-clinging tops and those ultra-skinny pants are IN!
3. Homemade-Looking pieces featuring Textures and Dyes! This gives the not-yet-famous designer (or etsy seller) the chance to shine.
4. Psychedelic Prints! Because Tom Ford said so. In fact, his Spring 2021 collection is dominated by trippy prints. This includes leggings!
5. Florals, florals, florals... flowers!! Combine a flower print with some stripes or an illusory pattern and you have a winner.
6. *Sigh!*, here we go again.... Those gosh darn “puffy sleeves” are baaaaaack. I’ll admit, some people can pull off this look but I can’t even wear a blazer with shoulder pads without feeling awkward.
7. Vintage Inspired Graphics. I'll take this trend any day over the giant puffer-sleeves! Here's this Christian Dior brand new "Vintage" tee:
8. Dresses with minimal accessories, because the dress dominates the look.
9. Womens Trouser Pants, specifically wide-leg. In fact, Vogue claims women will be ditching their sweatpants and instead wearing wide leg trousers:
