1. Data shows that the US has over 12.3 million women-owned businesses.

2. It is estimated that 40% of US businesses are women-owned

3. Approximately half of female business owners are between 45 and 65 years old.

4. Construction and Technology Manufacturing are typically male-dominated industries, however, the few Construction and Tech companies owned by women grossed more money in the first year than the male-owned competitors!

5. Approximately 30% of businesses owned by men needed outside funding to get started, however only 25% of women business owners needed business financing.

6. In 2019, more than 12 companies owned by women became “unicorns”! (A unicorn company is a startup that is worth more than $1 billion!!!)

7. As of 2019, over HALF of all new startup companies have at least one female owner!

8. Almost 9 million Americans are employed by women-owned businesses
