How People Choose What Clothing to Buy - Interesting Statistics for Online Sellers!

This is some fascinating data that explains how people pick clothing. In the survey shown below, people were asked to RANK all of the options, from “Most Important to Least Important”:

What really surprised me was the “Fit” is the most important decision for people while Brand Name actually took last place! Price / Value clearly owns 2nd place, so we can safely say that while price is important, many people are caring more about the fit…. But not all people.

Shockingly, “Color” isn’t most important, nor least important. This data shows that it is likely that someone will settle for a less-liked color providing they like the fit and the value.

Only about ⅓ of people tend to buy based on trends or being in-style - which makes a lot of sense because we already know that most people care most about “Fit” and “Price”.

And lastly, Brand Name tends to play little factor in a clothing purchase choice. Based on this data, we can assume that most people do not mind buying a small brand or big brand, providing the price is right and it fits great.
