If you haven’t heard of “Seasonal Dressing”, it’s what your mom used to call “Dress in Layers and when you’re hot take off your cardigan” (PS - I don’t think my mom ever used the actual word “Cardigan”, but you get the picture.)

So, with “Seasonal Dressing” people have come to the realization that they can purchase “staple pieces” that can be worn 12-months-a-year, thus eliminating the need for oodles of attire that only works for 4 consecutive months at a time. The way this works is you invest in light and mid-weight apparel that can be layered. In fact, the entire secret to being Trans-Seasonal is LAYERS!!!. When it’s chilly, you layer up whereas when it’s warm you only put on the light apparel. Very simple!

2. Kimono-Style pieces are very popular as jackets due to their lightweight nature and roomy-fit that allows easy layering. Most Kimono style pieces can be worn as a dress or jacket.
3. A leather jacket and/or thick wool coat. When layered, these will both handle even the coldest winters.
