This is a real, honest review about our absolute favorite web design company, MAKDigitalDesign.com, who literally saved our company!

If you saw our previous post "Read This Before You Hire a Web Designer: Our BrandLabs Nightmare" you already know that in 2019 we suffered through 70+ days of web design hell because we made the mistake of assuming an expensive web designer meant the best quality… we were very wrong.   After a couple horrible months of our new BrandLabs website not working, empty promises, “fixes” that made things worse and utter devastation of our business, we realized that even though we had paid Brand Labs a fortune we had to hire someone else to save us before it’s too late.

On September 4th, 2019, at our lowest point, I reached out to three new web designers. All three companies took one look at our new, non-working Brand Labs website and said it would cost more money to attempt to salvage their work; essentially it would be cheaper to throw away everything we had ever paid Brand Labs for and start fresh.  All three designers said they could create a new, working site for us.  

The reason we picked MAK Digital Designs is because out of the three companies I spoke to, they were the only one who actually CARED; I mean, they genuinely cared. Mary spent a long time on the phone with me discussing my horrible situation whereas the other two web design companies seemed purely interested in getting money. Let me point out; I absolutely understand the importance of money, we own a business too. However there is a difference between caring and only wanting money, you know?  Customer Service can mean everything to a buyer.

Anyways, going with MAK was a no-brainer.

I kid you not when I say that Mary and Drew from MAK immediately started working on our site. They quickly scrapped all of BrandLabs work and got us a new, WORKING, website up-and-running almost immediately because they saw how dire our situation was. And, as soon as MAK gave us a new site, the sales started rolling in again.  Over the course of the next couple weeks Mary made tweaks to the site to customize it for our businesses needs.

You might look at our site and not like the design.  Don't worry, MAK also makes fancier sites, but our sales are higher with a very basic site.  If you want to take a look at MAKS "nicer looking" sites here's their web design showcase.  I love the design they did for DormCo.com and NoWheyChocolate.com but all of their designs are beautiful, FULLY FUNCTIONAL and easy for the buyer to navigate!  MAK will give you exactly what you want, whether that is a plain site, a modern site or a sleek, high end site. 

When I say “Mak Digital Design saved our company” I mean it. I never thought a web designer would change my life, but they did.

Since 2019 we have used MAK for EVERYTHING. Custom scripting on our site, shopping cart tweaks and so on. When we have weird glitches they always find the fix right away. Mary has made tons of incredible suggestions that have helped our family business grow. I will be a loyal customer forever and I cannot sing their praise enough.
