8 Reasons Why You Should Quit Your Job and Become a Full-Time Online Seller
Posted by Big Brand Wholesale.com on 28th May 2020
Considering walking away from your day job to embark on a journey of selling online for a living can be very scary. However, being a fulltime online seller is the best job EVER! We started selling online in 2005 and it has evolved into a giant warehouse, employees and…. Well, it turned into a new career; a career that I absolutely love.
Here’s the top reasons why you should change your career path NOW.
- COVID-19 has swept the world. Here in Michigan we have been in 100% lockdown since St. Patrick's Day, 2020... it's now almost JUNE! Almost all Michigan businesses have been forced to lock their doors… but not us! Our “store” is open 24/7 because it’s online! Meanwhile, our family and friends who have traditional 9-5 jobs are struggling to pay their bills and living in day-to-day fear. Unless the internet goes down, our jobs are always going to be safe.
- Similar to #1; Because we sell online our store is open 365 days a year. We make money while we sleep, without any sales staff needed. When I broke my ankle back in January I was able to take 2 days off work without any repercussions. The ability to remain open, even when you're hurt, sick, on vacation or dealing with a family emergency is amazing.
- You really CAN make unlimited money. You are not stuck at an hourly wage. It will take several years to build up your business but once you do it will be generating money all the time. There is nobody to stop you from making a million dollars a year or more. We started with literally nothing and in 15 years built a multi-million-dollar company! If I can do it, you sure as heck can too!
- The harder you work the more you WILL make. You never have to wait for a raise. If you are highly motivated and love a challenge, you WILL be successful.
- You are in control of your destiny. Want to buy a house in 2 years? Bust your ass listing, listing, listing. Want to take a vacation? Money for kids to go to college? Work 14 hours a day, 7 days a week for a couple years and you WILL achieve your goals. Need money for rent next month? Price your inventory super low or have a Sale and generate the cash!
- One of the most important things that is often overlooked about having an online career is the SAVINGS. When you start selling online you should be working from home. Don’t lease space until you MUST. Anyways, the amount of money you will save by working from home is a much larger amount than you likely realize. - You CAN be a stay-at-home parent! It is more difficult because you’re trying to work while also taking care of kids, but it CAN be done!! I promise you! I have done it for my sons entire lives! My secret is lots of art projects! Kids love painting, clay, pipe cleaners, glue… keeps ‘em busy while you work next to them.
- It's rewarding and fulfilling too! Like growing a plant from a seed; it starts off as nothing.... it's just this worthless tiny seed that has no way of growing. Then you give the seed some dirt, then some water and some sun. The seed germinates and this tiny, weakling of a plant emerges; the baby plant is so hopeless that it looks like it will never survive but you continue to water. Then, overnight the tiny plant produces one leaf! it's so exciting! You can't believe something so little could make a leaf so big. Before you know it, the stem is 12" tall and the greenest-green you have ever seen. Before long an incredible flower emerges. How can something that was nothing more than a tiny seed create such a beautiful blossom? Then, if you keep trying, you will help that plant grow into a miracle; an incredible work of art with leaves so perfect that they look like a plastic mold and flowers so beautiful you stare in awe. This is your online business! Plant the tiny seed and give it time and love and it will return the favor in the form of money, enjoyment and an overall sense of accomplishment.
