Posted by Big Brand Wholesale.com on 24th Feb 2022
If you own a business and you have a commercial space (or PO box) you absolutely should also have a Google Business page (AKA "G Page). If you're not familiar with Google Business; when you search for a company you'll see info about the company appear:
If you scroll down the page you will see our social media links and also the daily updates that we post on our Google Business profile:
If you want to check it out in more detail, view G.Page/BuyWholesale to see ours. Clearly, you can see how incredibly valuable a Google Business Page is. So, essentially you should be treating your Google Business page similar to your company's social media pages, but also similar to a LinkedIn. Unlike traditional social media, you should probably avoid posting silly, racy or edgy things on your Google Business page and instead stick to business info, new product photos, sales / special offers and even good will / charity info.
HOW OFTEN TO POST
Post frequently. Since Google Business posts expire after seven days, it’s important to keep a consistent publishing schedule. Update your profile often to keep information fresh.
Additionally, Google prioritizes businesses that consistently update their Google Business page, so the more you provide quality updates, the higher your company will appear in search results.
WHAT DAY & TIME IS BEST TO POST?
We have yet to determine any specific day or time slot that is truly "best" because Google.com is utilized around the clock, all over the world, 7-days a week, 365 days a year. With that being said, I can provide you with my personal opinion, based on several years of posting daily to Google Business. Keep in mind, my findings are specifically related to being a wholesale company that sells primarily to other businesses. So, if you are an Etsy seller, or if your business sells food, I cannot guarantee that our results will be your results.
OUR FINDINGS:
- The best days to post have been Monday - Thursday (any time) as well as Friday mornings. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are the most active but Fridays can be stellar too.
- It appears that if we post at 9:30am, the post starts getting views during lunch time. If you post at lunch time it will start getting views around dinner.
- Typically, Saturday and Sunday posts get little action, with Saturdays always being the absolute worst. However, Saturdays have always been our slowest day, so it is of no surprise. Sundays are typically slow during the warm months however they pick up a little when it's bad weather.
