Back in 2008, every online seller knew that Sunday was the day to start listings, end listings and market however times have changed substantially!  As of 2021 / 2022 Sunday Instagram posts receive the least amount of user engagement.  And this is why it is super important to keep up with analyzing trends as time progresses; if you are still focusing on Sunday posting, you are actually wasting your time and energy! 

What's really interesting about Instagram is that prime time to market is completely different than any other social media site!

BEST DAYS TO POST: New data shows that the best day to post is absolutely Wednesday!  However, weekdays in general are far better than weekends. 

BEST TIMES TO POST:  Unlike other social media sites, Instagram has two completely different solid time frames to market.  First, Insta has a super strong "lunch rush" that corresponds with people being on lunch break at work.  Unlike YouTube, TikTok or SnapChat, people like Instagram at lunch because they don't need their cell phone volume turned up to enjoy the platform  <--- this makes so much sense!  So, if you post between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. you will reach the lunch-hour Instagrammers.  If you are targeting this timeframe to market, be sure to post images that do not require audio to understand. If you do need audio, use subtitles.  

The other best time to market on Insta is in the evenings, after business hours. Studies cite that the 7pm-9pm time block as an excellent time to get views and interaction on Instagram, with some even saying to post as late as 2am!
