Online Sellers: 25 Things to Buy on Amazon Prime Day 2020 for Your Business
Posted by Big Brand Wholesale.com on 6th Jul 2020
Do you have Amazon Prime Day reminders programmed in your phone? I sure do! It’s the absolute BEST-EVER day for our company (BigBrandWholesale.com) to LOAD UP on certain supplies. We try to buy enough that it will cover us for 4 months, but it isn’t always possible because some deals literally run out.
Amazon Prime day is USUALLY the 2nd week in July but right before we were about to post this article we discovered that Amazon DELAYED Prime Day 2020 until the week of October 5th, 2020 (due to COVID-19). We truly hope this is “Fake News” but we can’t confirm for sure.
ANYWAYS, planning ahead, here’s our companies actual list of the 20 supplies we buy in bulk on Prime Day (If it’s not on Prime Day Extra-Sale, we don’t buy it):
- Tape (Shipping - 2" wide and 3" wide. TIP: You will usually get a better deal if you search for "CASE OF PACKING TAPE instead of "Shipping Tape")
- Tape (Scotch)
- Printer Paper CASES! These can be super, mega cheap! Last year they were around $10 for the full case!!! The regular price for Amazon Brand PC paper cases is $20, which is still a good deal!
- Painters Tape - Fantastic for sealing lotions and things that could leak without ruining the product. BUT avoid “Frog Tape” because it peels off too easy. ALSO, NEVER USE SCOTCH TAPE!! It is damn-near-impossible to get off of body care product bottles!!
- Ziplock Bags for putting items that could leak inside. If an item leaks the carrier with destroy it! By putting it inside a plastic bag (baggie) it will ensure the rest of the order arrives to the buyer and you can address the leaking product instead of the entire purchase. Stock up on all sizes ranging from small bags to the big 2.5 gallon that can hold shoes! TIP: You want to search for "BULK BAGGIES" to find the really deep discounts on Amazon.
- Sharpie Markers - Ultra-Fine (Click-Top) and Fine-Tip Regular
- A couple packs of Highlighters
- Colored Poly Bags in 6x9”, 14”, 14x19, 20”, 24x24”.
- Plain Poly Bags
- Clear Packing Bags - These are so fantastic for pre-packing your merchandise because you can see exactly what it is!
- Zebra and Citizen Printer 4x6" Thermal Labels for postage and more. If you don't have a 4x6 postage thermal label printer, GET ONE ON PRIME DAY or get one now!! It NEVER runs out of ink because it prints using heat! No ink cost!
- Colored PC Paper. During the year we buy the "USED" Amazon listings because we can get a full ream of colored paper for as little as $4!
- Razor Blades / Utility Knives / Box Cutters! Enough said.
- Cardstock Printer Paper in Colors. This is perfect for printing coupons or other informational content that a buyer may want to keep. For material a buyer would likely throw away, just use the regular pc paper shown above.
- Christmas Cards for sending Top 300 Buyers (annually - Did you know I start filling these out in OCTOBER? It takes so long to handwrite 300 cards!). Even during the normal non-Prima-Day-Year, Amazon has great prices on fantastic cards that you won't see at Target, Kroger or similar stores.
- Storage Shelving!!!!!
- Rechargeable Batteries. We have converted 100% of our batteries in our warehouse to fully rechargeable. It has substantially helped us be able to run smoothly with 0 downtime. You can even buy a "Universal Rechargeable Battery Charger" that will allow you to charge almost any size battery with 1 unit! We have 4 Universals and we can change out any size battery in an instant. Yeah, I will admit that I have snuck into work when my TV remote died. LOL!
- 1 to 2 Packs of fancy Thank You Cards. We use these all the time; thank the mail carrier, the post office, a buyer that had more patience than a saint or anyone who really helped you out. Heck, I sent a Thank You card to a blogger who happened to write a super nice article about us. It meant a lot to our family and just sending a tweet wasn't enough. Even though its 2020, Thank You Cards still really touch peoples hearts!
- Plain Envelopes, Business Size - 1 to 3 packs, depending on quantity within. One big pack usually lasts us a year.
- FLAVORED COFFEE!!!!! Omfg, need I say more?! I used to use the Keurig but I was blowing through K-Cups so now I am back to amazing ground coffee. I have bought almost every single coffee on this list. My favorite is the All Natural Folgers Cinnamon because I add a tiny bit of Cardamom, Nutmeg and Ginger seasoning to the grounds before brewing and make myself an instant Chai Latte.
- Fragile Stickers! We always get 20+ rolls on Prime Day.
- BUT, in order to make the Chai Latte, I add a couple Cold Strone Creamery "Sweet Creams" single-serve creamers.
- If I am not in the mood for a Chai Latte and I decide to go with "boring coffee", I only use ONLY Coconut Sugar. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE NAME! It tastes EXACTLY like Brown Sugar but it's low Glycemic and all natural (no bleach or other added garbage). I even use Coconut Sugar for all baking. I haven't used white sugar in 3+ years and I don't miss it one bit! I load up on Prime Day and when I run out I auto-subscribe on Amazon for the last couple months of the year. I am currently auto-subscribed for this one BUT I much prefer this one. The second one that I prefer is indeed sold at "health food stores" in Michigan, such as Zerbos in Livonia, but I don't go out that way often.
- Organic Matcha Tea Powder is ALMOST tied with how much I loooooove Coffee. I prefer the sweetened version but I also just mix it with water (you're supposed to mix it with Milk). I add my sweetened Matcha to a Ninja-Cup of water then 1 of the Coldstone Sweet Creamers then shake it well because I refuse to blend it and have to waste time cleaning the blade! Mmmmmmmmmm.... healthy, delish and LOADDDDDEDDDD with Caffeine! TIP: On Amazon, you can buy your Ninja Cup Mugs super cheap buy buying "Used"! They're not literally "used", they're actually brand new. People just buy the wrong size mug so they return them! Just look at the listing and it will say if any Used are available (there almost ALWAYS are. If there's not, just check back in 3 days!).
- Pet Food! Yes, it's not a "business item" but if you own your own company and every penny you make ends up going towards costs, then you are ultimately buying pet food for your lil' guy or gal. We have a lot of pets: Bearded Dragons, Newts, 2 giant aquariums, 1 pond, a 7 ft tall Hermit Card tank and more, so on Prime Day we love loading up on pet stuff!
