If you are new to purchasing wholesale you are probably wondering how much it actually costs. Today we are going to answer that question!

1. Ralph Lauren Dress that retails for $210 (meaning if you were to buy it from Nordstrom you would pay $210 in Nordstrom stores):

So, as you can see, "Wholesale" isn't as cheap as most people think.  There is a huge myth that clothing stores make 500% profit on everything; clearly this isn't true.  From the list shown above, the highest profit item would be the Nanette Lepore coverup that retails for $118 and the actual wholesale price is $30.50.  This specific item does have a markup of over 300%, but besides that, the average markup is only 100% for wholesale.  

The key to really making money online is to buy through a good liquidator where you can get 75%-90% off retail or more.
