Amazing Statistics Every Online Bra Seller Must Know!
Posted by Big Brand Wholesale.com on 7th May 2020
One of the best sellers at BigBrandWholesale.com has always been bras, which means our buyers are selling a TON of bras to their buyers and coming back for more. So today I wanted to look at some truly fascinating bra statics in the USA. Let’s get started!
What is the most common bra size? 34DD - 36DD
But get this… as you likely know, most women wear the wrong size bra, so this is super interesting….
What size do most women THINK they wear? 36C! …which made me giggle because I wore a 36C for half my life, until getting measured one day and learning I was a 38D. I asked my mom what bra size she wear and she said “36C”.... lol!
Prior to 2010, the most common bra size was 34B…. Yes, it went from 34B to 34DD…. But most women *think* they wear a 36C!
Most Common Plastic Surgery Breast Size: 34D - so if you want to buy some boobies, most likely you’re going to opt for a 34D.
But get this… according to a survey, over half of American men and women said they “prefer a C-Cup”.
BRA SIZES BY LOCATION:
To add to the insanity, due to “sister sizing”, one bra can actually fit 3 different sizes. For example, a 34C can also be worn as a 32D or a 36B. Meaning, someone with a 34C breast can be comfortable by wearing a 32D. Or, someone with a 36D breast can wear a 34C on a daily basis. How does this make sense? Well, it’s due to “volume” and shape. The adjustment clasps on the back allow for the bra to be tightened or extended and the cup size is damn-near-identical due to the cup-to-rib-ratio. Confused yet?
PUSHUP BRA, OR NAW?
Our buyers often tell us that “the only type of bra that ever sells is pushups”... but statistics prove otherwise…
Statistics shows the frequency at which women in the United States wear push-up bras in 2017, by age. The survey revealed that 11 percent of women in the U.S., aged 36 to 50 years, wear push-up bras several times per week. This fact means that non-pushup styles are 89% more popular than padded-lift styles.
BUT… statistics also show that the millennial generation is not a fan of wearing “fake boob bras”, so pushups are actively on the decline in 2020, as Millennials become 80% of the workforce. Millennials are opting for sports bras, unlined and lined bras as well as lightly padded / thick lining (AKA “T-Shit, No-Show Bras”)... pretty much anything that ISN’T a padded pushup bra.
I hope you enjoyed these facts!!! Keep buying and selling those bras! Shop our Wholesale Bra Category now ~ Cheers!
