Condition to Expect with M*CYS / BL**MINGDALES STORE RETURNS:
- Store Returns means someone owned the item at some point and returned it to the store. It does not mean it is used, but it might be.
- The reason for Return can vary. Sometimes it simply didn't fit. Sometimes it was a gift and they don't like it. Sometimes they have "buyers remorse" for spending too much money. Sometimes they damage it and decide they want their money back. Because these are being sold as Store Returns we do not remove damaged pieces.
- Often Store Return pieces are missing paper store tags
- Sometimes the piece was supposed to come with a another item, such as a belt, and the belt is missing
- Sometimes the piece has a stain. The stain can be easy to remove, or difficult to remove or impossible to remove.
- Sometimes the piece looks worn or may actually be worn. It is common for Store Returns to be not only worn but also laundered.
- Sometimes laundered items are laundered incorrectly, thus causing more issues to the fabric.
- Sometimes there is a rip, snag, hole or damage of some kind. Damage may be easily fixable or may be impossible to fix. Because these are being sold as Store Returns you should expect there will be pieces you cannot repair, so you will need to salvage these pieces or upcycle them.
- Store Returns can be missing buttons, clasps, clips, straps, belts, etc
- Store Returns can have damaged zippers
- Sometimes the piece was part of a set and the set is missing pieces.
- With Store Returns you should expect to have to do repairs or sell pieces "as-is".
- Repairs can be simple, such as getting makeup off an item, but repairs can also be difficult.
- Sometimes there's items that absolutely cannot be restored, but they can be repurposed / upcycled and/or salvaged for usable pieces. For example, a broken necklace could be turned into a bracelet, or, if it can not be repurposed, the clasp, gemstones / beads, etc can be removed from the necklace and used to embellish an art project (or even sold as "beads", "clasps", etc)
- Store Return and Salvage lots are always sold "AS-IS"

Condition to Expect with Mixed Quality Liquidations
- Sometimes the piece has a clearance sticker
- Sometimes a removable Liquidation sticker is applied
- Sometimes the piece is missing the paper store tag
- Pieces may have issues such as Missing buttons, jammed zipper, rips, tears, etc. We do not spend time analyzing each item. Please expect there will be some pieces with issues. Issues might be minor, issues might be major.
- Sometimes the piece was supposed to include a bonus item, such as a belt, and the belt is missing
- Sometimes a piece has a stain which is usually dust / dirt /makeup from being touched by customers but can also be ink or anything else. We have seen everything from chocolate stains to peanut butter to makeup. We have seen pieces that look like a 5 year old wiped their mouth on them.
- Because these are Mixed Quality you should expect some imperfections. You should expect to invest time into polishing, laundering, sewing, etc.
- Sometimes the piece looks worn or may actually be worn.
- Because these are Mixed Quality you should expect some imperfections.
- It is not possible for us to catch every major imperfection. We try to point out imperfections we notice. You should expect there will be imperfections we do not notice.
- There may be items you cannot fix.
